My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this past November and are looking forward to another wonderful 20 years. I have 3 wonderful teenage children ages 19, 16, & 15. I grew up in Philadelphia, hence the screen name "PhillyMike" and spent 10 years in the Air Force before getting out and settling in Michigan. I lived in Michigan for 11 years before transferring out to Lincoln Nebraska two years ago with my company. I work as a Process Engineer for a company that makes electrical connectors.
My wife and I have been Beachbody coaches since July of 2007 and we love it. We love working out with some of the top fitness experts and the support you get from the Beachbody community is above reproach.
I would love to help you achieve your fitness goals. Please come and join me in this fitness adventure. We are all striving for good health and what better way to it, but to do it together.

My Transformation Story:
Some years back, I weighed 191 lbs. with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. My wife and I decided to do the South Beach diet and I lost a considerable amount of weight. People at work were asking me if I was sick and I used to say, "I lost it so fast, you're not used to it". But the truth is that I had lost a lot of weight the UNHEALTHY way because I lost a lot of healthy muscle as well and did in fact look sick. I slowly gained it back over the next year and looked healthy again, but once again found myself back on the weight roller coaster and was sick of it!
I was introduced to BeachBody by some friends at church and saw some of the awesome results and how it transformed people's lives. It was not only the awesome workouts, but the relationship aspect of it which really excited me. I not only wanted to get fit the health way, but wanted to become a coach because I love to help people and so the journey began...
7/20 Day 1 - My wife and I started Power 90 cardio 1-2 and it was a little intense for me since before this I had just been running. Here, I was using muscles that weren't being exercised with just running. The next day we did sculpt 1-2. We felt fine until the third day when we woke up pretty sore. We battled through it though knowing that the soreness will soon wear off.
8/2 Day 14 - Well, we are still plugging along with P90. Each day, my wife and I get up at 5:30 and exercise together before work. We do not get sore too much anymore. We did deviate one day from P90 cardio and did turbo jam. That is one sweaty workout! Our backs were a little sore from all of the swaying back and forth.
Before starting P90, I would have a lot of energy in the morning at work and than crash in the afternoon before regaining steam in the evening. I was running and eating pretty well, but still would crash at times. Now, I seem to sustain my energy throughout the entire day. I am supplementing with "Performance". I have only lost 2 pounds, but I think it's because it the fat is turning to muscle. I've noticed that my face is thinner and my mid-section is starting to tone up. It's only been 2 weeks so I hope to update you all in a couple more weeks with some more positive results.
8/31 - Day 42
Well, here I am 42 days into Power90 and am going strong. My wife and I have been doing cardio/sculpt 3-4 for a couple of weeks now. I am becoming more flexible and sustaining more energy. I have lost 7 pounds, but more importantly have gained a lot more definition in my chest and shoulders. This is what I could not get with any other diet; a complete body workout and also a mental one. I have ordered a pull-up bar so I can start doing them as I am feeling stronger from all of the push-ups. I am now doing 15 chair dips along with about 100 push-up during sculpt. I hope to have even more exciting results shortly to share.
10/18 - Day 90 (Yahoo!!!)
Today is day 90 and I am already going on the the power 90 master series. I feel great and am looking great. My upper body is really starting to take shape and I am enjoying the workouts. I started doing pull-ups after ordering it from Beach Body and they are getting easier to do and are really fun believe it or not. If my wife and I can committ to doing power 90 and getting fit, you can too and we are here to help motivate and assist in any way we can. It's doesn't have to be the latest fad, but a lifestyle. I will continue to update as I progress through the master series.
1/13/08 - Day 166
Well, I am back for another update. I've been doing the P90 Master series for 1-1/2 months now and I love it. I am up 4 lbs from my last update, but that is okay because it is mostly muscle. I have maintained this current weight for about the last 3 months while still gaining energy, flexibility, and strength. I will continue on with the Master series for another couple of months and than set my sights on P90X. See you on the next update.
3/7/08 - Woke up on this day and decided today is the day to start the X. It was rough, but challenging.
4/8/08 - Just finished week 3 of the Power 90X and am loving it. My wife is actually doing it as well and she is hanging tough! At times my body tells me to slow down so sometimes I take a day off to recoup. I just got my p90X recovery drink the other day so we're set. I am seeing and feeling great results. I will update again at day 30.
5/11/08 - Hello again all! I am coming up to day 60 of P90X and it has been an awesome ride. I am starting to see some great results. I will post my new measurements at day 60, but I am really watching my nutrition at this point and am really committed to looking great by day 90. I am getting stronger each and every workout. I used to loath doing kenpo moves during the early P90 days, but now Kenpo is my favorite workout. Go figure! Well, see you all next time.
